Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking for interns to support their Music Creative Affairs department, which handles music for various film and television studios. The goal is to provide meaningful work experience to emerging talent while assisting with tasks related to music licensing, composer hiring, and soundtrack creation.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Responsibilities
- Creative Song and Song Trends Research
- Competitive industry trends research
- Read scripts to create music “spotting notes”
- Organizing music databases and library
- Create and maintain music charts
- Song label and publishing research
- Composer research
Other
- Currently enrolled in school or university during the duration of the internship with relevant education in a related field
- Prior marketing/publicity/entertainment experience is helpful but not required
- A good work ethic and a good attitude for learning in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intern experience at a record label
- Music publisher and/or film/tv studio music department experience
