Mastercard is looking to enhance its Platform Engineering organization, specifically the Global Network Engineering (GNE) team, by bringing in emerging talent through an internship program. This program aims to contribute to the department's goals and objectives while providing interns with valuable skill-enhancing projects.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with networking routing and switching
- Exposure to security and/or firewalls, ideal experience with Smart console or Panorama is a plus
- Automation experience with ansible, network automation, and/or python
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure across data centers, corporate offices, and customer environments worldwide.
- Routing and switching
- Firewall and security architecture
- SD-WAN and cloud connectivity
- Network automation and observability
- M&A integration and global expansion
- Participate in projects that will enhance skills as well as contribute to the department’s goals and objectives.
Other
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date of Winter 2026 – Summer 2027
- Have a strong focus and interest in technology (Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or another related field)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to tackle complex problems
