Epsilon is seeking a PhD Data Science Intern to apply academic research and machine learning skills to propose effective solutions for technology and business challenges within their personalization platform, which analyzes vast amounts of anonymized data online to assess advertising opportunities in real-time.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program with relevant coursework, research, and background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
- Hands-on involvement with research projects involving formulating hypotheses, exploring data, and developing models for insights
- Established track record in developing and validating machine learning models, with a strong understanding of model performance evaluation and optimization
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Scala, SQL, or R
- Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, or MPP databases
- Proven capacity to communicate complex data science concepts, methodologies, and findings to diverse audiences
- Ability to conduct independent research to identify and recommend the best approaches for solving complex technology and business problems
