Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for Summer 2026 Interns to join their Quality Assurance department in Mobile, AL. These positions are designed to provide students with practical experience in aviation manufacturing, focusing on problem-solving, process improvement, and quality assurance within the aerospace industry.
Requirements
- Requires use of computer and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite.
- AutoCAD and VBA proficiency are preferred.
- Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft applications, strong knowledge of technical terms.
- Ability to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
- Able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
- Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
- Able to carry documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs.
Responsibilities
- Assist Quality team by supporting problem solving, transformation, lean manufacturing, process/continuous improvement, innovation and six sigma projects.
- Learn the root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes at Airbus and assist/participate in improvement efforts.
- Update visual management schemes, metrics, and support analysis and tools to assist in operating manufacturing.
- Document 5S scores, housekeeping audits and FOD levels.
- Assist in compliance topics.
Other
- Willing to temporarily live in the Mobile, AL metro area during the internship.
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program for aerospace, engineering or manufacturing
- Study in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering majors highly preferred
- Some office work environment preferred.
- Must be well organized and have good time management skills.
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written
- Authorized to Work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
