Hitachi Energy USA INC is looking for a quality engineering intern to support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, productivity, and cost reduction in their transformer manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Rising Junior/Senior in Engineering field
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical , Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Participating and supporting kaizen events & other improvement projects.
- Projects that will impact & reduce cost savings, scrap, rework and first past yield performance.
- Support the Continuous Improvement teams utilizing tools from the 4Q Quality process.
- Process stability and capability projects to enhance Standardized Work, process flow, and built in quality.
- Work area layout improvements and one-piece flow improvements.
Other
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
- High attention to detail and c ommitment to accuracy.

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
