Lumen is looking for interns to assist with the implementation and monitoring of compliance initiatives and risk management processes across various business units to ensure adherence to company policies and governmental regulations.
Requirements
- Cybersecurity or IT (major or experience)
- Actuarial Science, Business, or Risk Management major
- NIST or other Cybersecurity framework
- ISO
Responsibilities
- gathering documentation
- conducting gap analyses against applicable frameworks
- maintaining records of risk assessments
- supporting internal audits
- utilizing industry-standard GRC tools to streamline reporting
- managing regulatory changes
- participate in team meetings to identify opportunities for enhancing risk controls and compliance workflows
Other
- Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program
- Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.
- This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.
- US Work Authorization required for this role.
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
- Graduating August 2026 – May 2028
- Strong interest in Cybersecurity
