WEX Inc. is looking for Site Reliability Engineers to develop software and solutions focused on observability, incident response, reliability and performance, operational excellence, and compliance to solve complex challenges, improve the quality of life of engineering teams, and improve the ability to service customers.
Requirements
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C-Sharp, Go, Bash).
- Experience with observability and logging technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with Datadog and Splunk.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Interest in or exposure to AI/ML concepts, especially around automation, anomaly detection, and intelligent alerting.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation and monitoring tools to ensure system reliability.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure software design meets operational requirements.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase system reliability and efficiency.
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI/ML in observability, incident analysis, and automation to reduce toil and accelerate root cause identification.
Other
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and will have completed at least your Sophomore year of school at the start of the internship.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to dig deep into code, networking, operating systems, and/or storage solutions to solve complex issues.
- The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and the ability to drive complex and meaningful projects to a conclusion.
- Tight-knit collaboration with the engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role.
