The company is looking for intern software engineers to contribute to various software development projects across different business groups, aiming to solve challenges in areas like core development, cloud workload performance, and RTL design.
Requirements
- Strong coding proficiency in languages Python and C for algorithm development and scripting.
- Fundamental understanding of computer architecture and a real passion for computing and/or the semi-conductor industry that goes beyond your studies.
- Experience with Linux and source control systems such as Git.
- Curiosity about technology outside of the classroom – personal projects, hackathons, or internships etc.
- An interest in new/future technology with an open-mindset to experiment.
Responsibilities
- Work on development and deployment of Raven for A, R, and M-class cores
- Participating in different aspects of commercial and open-source software development, from product design and implementation to testing and support.
- Collaborate with a team to improve performance of real cloud workloads.
- Develop and define algorithm and automation for RTL design, synthesis, constraints development, clock-power design and physical design.
- Overcoming a variety of different tasks to help teams hit their targets. These may involve improving and implementing new workflows, investigating new software, helping teams with design and verification of products, and many other tasks which give to the success of these projects.
Other
- Are currently enrolled and studying towards an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science Degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.
- Arm Internships require you to be enrolled in a higher education degree and be returning to your course after your internship/placement.
- If you are graduating on or before August 2026 you will not be eligible for an Intern role, but you will be eligible for our graduate roles.
