LSEG's Post Trade Solutions (PTS) engineering team is looking for interns to work on projects solving real problems within the Optimisation Core Technology Team. This team designs and builds systems that deliver optimization services to clients, handling risk and trade data, delivering it to financial engineers, and returning computation outputs safely and timely. The systems also provide feedback to clients to help them understand results and improve future performance.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of python for executable & repeatable programs (as opposed to data analytics). Affinity to PyData stack is preferred.
- Familiarity with UNIX command line
- Some experience with AWS and/or frontend development is a plus
Responsibilities
- Designing and building a new workflow to run data quality (DQ) checks on financial data submitted by the clients
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to leverage their pricing algorithms in our DQ checks
- Building the internal portal screens used by the Product team to perform the optimisations
- Implement the code providing connectivity to external booking systems, trade stores, etc.
- Enhance our task queueing system to improve resource utilisation
- build and research improvements to the applications & environment
- work directly with the Product Development team to enhance the services based on feedback from clients and analysis of runs as well as on strategic projects

- To be eligible, you should be in the penultimate year of your undergraduate or final year of an Undergraduate degree and plan to continue onto Masters for academic year 2026/27studying Computer Science, Engineering, or any other relevant tech field.
