Pratt & Whitney is seeking to transform the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing engines, and is looking for an Engineering Intern to support the Control System Engine and Airframe Integration team in establishing and managing incoming and outgoing control system and airframe interface requirements.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
  • At least 60 credits completed towards a college degree by the start of the internship.
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Support the CSEAI team in establishing and managing incoming and outgoing control system and airframe interface requirements. Assist to analyze, decompose, validate and document all relevant functional requirements.
  • Participate as necessary in Design Review, Airframe Integration, Control System Engine Integration, CRAT, ESIT/PSIT, EDSIT, SIPT, CCB, TSIT and CIPT meetings.
  • Assist to integrate and troubleshoot performance, starting, transient response and other complex systems within the control.
  • Support and participate in root cause investigation efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
