Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to support the Power Thermal Management Systems (PTMS) Discipline. The intern will work on multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to architect, model, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art power thermal management systems with propulsion systems and aircraft, addressing complex problems in the aerospace and defense industry.

- Experience with Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, MS Office
Responsibilities
- Working on assigned subsystem, provide support for subsystem design and integration
- Modeling power and thermal management systems and components throughout product lifecycle
- Execute trade studies to support defining subsystem and component requirements for module centers and suppliers, as well as requirement verification criteria and plans
- Execute models to determine status to system performance, weight, cost, volume, schedule and RMS (Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety) requirements
Other
- Enrolled in a degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
- Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
