Pratt & Whitney's Product Delivery Center (PDC) needs to identify and implement process improvements to increase output and reduce overall costs for engine products, while ensuring quality standards and meeting performance specifications.
Requirements
- Applicable manufacturing engineering experience and processing knowledge
- Understanding of machining and NC programming
Responsibilities
- Identify & implement process improvements that increase output and reduce overall costs
- Participate in special projects that could involve cost reduction, special processes, machining processes and supplier support activities.
- The intern will be given a specific process improvement task to take ownership of, and progress to completion throughout their internship.
- Perform troubleshooting on engine, test systems hardware, and test systems software
- Review and trend engine performance/execution to make sure every engine meets the performance specifications outlined in its specific test procedures
- Provide written engineering recommendations during engine test to ops/quality
- Communicate with external engineering groups as issues arise during tests

- Enrolled in a degree program in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program.
- You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- This position is classified as onsite.
