Microchip Technology, Inc. is seeking an Intern - Technician to support engineering activities in a highly technical and scientific environment, employing various manufacturing and testing techniques for electromechanical systems, experimental circuitry, RF/Microwave devices, and specialized test equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.
- Willingness to learn soldering and cable assembly.
- Use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
Responsibilities
- Design, Test, Check-out, Modification, Fabrication & Assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, RF/Microwave devices and specialized test equipment.
- Work from Schematics, Diagrams, Written and Verbal Descriptions, Layouts or Defined plans to perform testing, Check-out and troubleshooting functions.
- Perform Operation Test and Fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Assist in design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
- Use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
