Micron Technology is looking for interns to gain knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and contribute to optimizing equipment maintenance and repairs in their state-of-the-art research and development fabrication facility.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an AAS in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, or related field of study.
- Students enrolled in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Instrumentation, Automation programs.
- Mechanical proficiency with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and basic fundamentals of electricity.
- Intermediate PC skills
Responsibilities
- On the job training for preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
- Receive training and participate in area continuous improvement programs.
- Partner with operations technicians and shift engineers/technicians to complete daily priorities that improve learning cycles.
- Provide troubleshooting support for equipment-related problems and address root causes.
- Improve equipment availability by investigating chronic tool problems and finding solutions.
- Maintain documentation on tool status, including observations and work performed.
- Perform and facilitate audits and submit good catches on safety and quality issues.

- Complete required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies.
- Encouraged completion of degree between December 2026 and June 2027
- Relocating to Boise, Idaho or Manassas, VA to complete a 3-month internship
- Relocation to Boise, Idaho post-graduation if hired full time
