InterDigital is looking for motivated Ph.D. students for internships in Wireless Systems Research to develop novel applications of AI and ML to improve video and wireless system performance.
Requirements
Publications and R&D experience in one or more of the following areas: Wireless systems research, applied AI/ML in wireless, optimization algorithms
Proficiency in Python and strong programming/problem-solving skills
Strong background in wireless communication and/or signal processing is highly desired
Hands on experience with Software Defined Radios like Ettus B210, X310, etc., and Robot Operating System (ROS) running on devices like Rosbot, Turtlebot, etc.
Experience with over-the-air video transmission through wireless networks, demonstrating a practical understanding of the challenges and optimizations needed in real-life scenarios
Responsibilities
Develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes and research ideas that tie machine learning and AI technologies with a broad range of signal processing and wireless technologies
Publish your work in leading conferences
Software defined networking and wireless testbed prototyping
R&D of wireless protocols and network algorithms that will be at the core of Next Generation wireless communication systems
Networked robotics for 6G wireless applications
Machine Learning to improve and optimize wireless systems
End to end wireless testbed development and research based on open-source platforms
