The Internal Audit IT Senior Data Analyst will help ensure the integrity and effectiveness of IT and security controls within this rapidly evolving environment.
Requirements
- strong SQL, Snowflake, and data visualization skills.
- Understanding of IT operations, IT and security infrastructure, cybersecurity program, operationalization of enterprise technology stacks, etc.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC): requirements development, system design, development, testing and production launch.
- Experience with Model Validations and Regulatory Examinations.
- Experience with GitHub and DevOps tools.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Looker, Superset, Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth data analysis to assess the design and operational effectiveness of key IT and security controls via writing complex, yet efficient and reusable SQL code.
- Conduct detailed testing of system or model changes to validate their impact and ensure they meet compliance and performance requirements.
- Work highly independently, identifying and implementing creative solutions to test complex data sets and data flows.
- Produce data extracts and reports via SQL from a variety of sources that will support the internal audit team in their control testing.
- Test data ETL (extraction, transformation and load) from upstream production systems into the data repository, and from the data repository into the Enterprise Tools.
- Design, develop, and enhance metrics and dashboards to measure the performance of various systems within the organization.
- Validate data completeness and accuracy during ETL process.
Other
- 4+ years of technology experience in a data analytics role at a technology, consulting, financial institution, or a financial technology firm.
- Ability to optimally collaborate in a cross-functional environment and under minimal direction.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in the financial services industry or a highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency.
