Strong skills in electrical circuits, magnetics, power systems and analog/digital electronics
Exposure to poly-phase power systems, transformers and motors
Exposure to power electronic circuits including rectifiers, inverters and variable speed motor drives
Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with 480V power laboratory safety and test methodologies.
Knowledge of magnetic design principles including calculation of inductance, flux density, losses, material properties, lamination thickness and characterization of saturation.
Knowledge of analysis tools such as MathCAD, Excel and MATLAB.
Ability to operate typical lab diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multi meters, harmonic analyzers, surface mount soldering rework tools and bench power supplies.

this position requires on site part time work during the school semester and offers full time in the summer.
