The Audio Visual (AV) team at Baird needs support in managing, planning, setting up, and troubleshooting audio visual and technical needs for meetings and events, ensuring a professional and unforgettable experience for clients and associates.

Requirements

  • Technical aptitude, specifically audio visual experience – laptop connectivity and troubleshooting.
  • Creston knowledge is a plus
  • Interest in AV and developing a career within the AV industry
  • Interest in video production, videography and editing, prior experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage, plan, set up and troubleshoot for all audio visual and technical needs for in person, virtual and hybrid meetings and events.
  • Assist and ensure a smooth operation and flawless meetings and events and identify and implement process improvement in all areas of operation
  • Support equipment set up for small client meetings to large meetings and events and change over rooms with tight turnaround times
  • Shadow AV Support Specialists with production of large events
  • Manage inventory for all equipment throughout the firm
  • Work with and support our Video team on various projects from video production, videography and editing

  • This internship requires working full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday and working part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week, in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office.
  • We are seeking a local student who can start in May 2026.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients in person, over the phone and on video
  • Gain insight into how Baird operates internally and externally, learn about the businesses and network with associates and clients alike
  • Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology management, information systems, communication, electronic media, audio production, theater or related degree
  • Professional, calm and courteous with a focus on providing excellent client service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect clearly and professionally with clients and associates and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Organizational excellence, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate strong attention to detail and ensure high-quality and on-time delivery
  • High level of motivation, proactivity and strategic thinking, with a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively
