Security Benefit is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Intern to gain hands-on experience with enterprise AWS operations, infrastructure automation, and process optimization to help drive the future of the U.S. retirement industry.
Requirements
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Terraform, Gitlab (CI/CD)
- CloudWatch, monitoring dashboard creation
- Technical writing and knowledge management
- Familiarity with Python, PowerShell Scripting
- AWS fundamentals and basic troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and Gitlab (Terraform preferred)
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure processes
- Shadow senior engineers to learn cloud architecture principles and best practices
- Help create and maintain AWS health dashboards for infrastructure monitoring
- Assist in identifying manual processes that could benefit from automation
- Support the EC2 Terraform Import Project for infrastructure as code (IaC) implementation
Other
- Students eligible for the internship will be current, full-time students available to work at least 19 hours a week, beginning as soon as possible and throughout the school year
- Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in cloud infrastructure technology and automation
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn
