Baird Advisors, Baird's institutional fixed income asset management team, is seeking an intern to support the team's dynamic reporting needs and investment process, while also providing an opportunity for the intern to learn and grow with a nationally recognized fixed income asset manager.
Requirements
- Experience with the Microsoft Office package – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Bloomberg data and information research skills
- Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Spend time with various portfolio managers on the team to learn about our investment process
- Use Bloomberg data and information to research a topic determined by members of our investment team
- Present your findings to the investment team and answer questions
- Support the team's dynamic reporting needs using various systems, including Excel
- Monitor and review reports to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements
- Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned
Other
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics preferred
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
- A high level of professionalism is mandatory
- Ability to work full-time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office
