Bombardier is looking to solve the problem of testing and validating its aircraft systems and structures through an internship in Experimental Engineering - Test Engineering
Requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficient with Excel macros and Visual Basic programming
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and structures
- Experience with test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work with Data Acquisition Systems (DAS)
- Ability to create real-time data displays
Responsibilities
- Support test activities on system, structural and dynamic test rigs for Bombardier aircraft programs
- Perform preparatory test activities such as writing Experimental Test Cards based on Test Definition Sheets provided by the various aircraft system groups across the organization
- Set up and maintain Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), and create real-time data displays for the Test Engineers to monitor the parameters of interest during test
- Post-process and archive data produced by the rigs and ensure its quality is in line with the expectations of our internal customers
- Write special instructions as required by the Test Definition Sheets to ensure the appropriate rig configuration is set up for the test and prepare all documentation the Test group requires to execute the tests
- Participate in Test Readiness Reviews with the various aircraft system groups to ensure all preparatory work is completed prior to test
- Perform in-flight cabin noise surveys on production aircraft and generate reports for the Acoustics department
Other
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- Strong team player and demonstrate superior organizational skills

- Flexible to work outside regular hours if needed
