Infineon is looking to evaluate and optimize the performance of power modules, and is seeking an intern to support this effort through data analysis, lab measurements, and documentation.
Requirements
- Familiarity with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, and function generators
- Foundational understanding of switching power supplies, particularly the Buck converter
- Strong skills in analyzing test data and visualizing results using tools like Excel, Python, or MATLAB
- Experience with PCB prototyping and debugging
- Knowledge of power supply design and optimization
- Proficiency in using tools like Excel, Python, or MATLAB for data analysis and visualization
Responsibilities
- Conduct thermal and electrical performance evaluations of power modules
- Collaborate with engineers to document test results and explore optimizations for energy efficiency
- Analyze test data and develop clear, insightful visualizations using tools like Excel, Python, or MATLAB to support reporting and decision-making
- Support PCB prototyping, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Perform hands-on lab measurements using equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters, and function generators
- Assist in the design, testing, and optimization of power supply modules, including DC-DC converters and voltage regulators
Other
- Enrolled as a senior undergraduate or graduate student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Good interpersonal skills, effective collaboration in multidisciplinary teams, and well-organized
- Experience with documentation and reporting
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with engineers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
