Baird IT Client Services team is looking to provide technical services and support to Baird associates across the country, and is seeking an intern to contribute to the success of the department by resolving client issues and assisting with technical project planning.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge of Windows Vista/7, Microsoft Office 2007/2010
- Possess basic technical skills with prior troubleshooting hardware and software support experience
- Previous experience installing or assembling computers is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide strong client service using a combination of effective communication and troubleshooting skills to resolve client issues and fulfill requests, both over the phone and desk side
- Utilize knowledge management system when troubleshooting client issues
- Document, track and monitor client incidents and requests in ticketing system to ensure timely and accurate resolution
- Provide technical support for all corporate hardware and software, including remote support and offsite IT support (branch/conference activity)
- Experience Baird’s collaborative culture that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives through teamwork and a strong sense of partnership by shadowing and mentorship from experienced team members and leaders
Other
- Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology management, information systems, computer science, MIS or related degree
- Anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect clearly and professionally with clients and associates and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
- Professional, calm and courteous with a focus on providing excellent client service
