LPL Financial is looking to solve the problem of building and maintaining technology systems that power the company, including cloud platforms, data centers, networks, and enterprise applications, to support financial advisors and their clients
Requirements
- Good understanding of at least one programming language (i.e C++ or Java)
- Good understanding of networking technology (i.e. Routers, Switches)
- Basic understanding of cloud concepts (i.e AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams
- Experience with tools like Terraform, monitoring platforms, and cloud services
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise-scale infrastructure
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain technology systems that power the company
- Use automation, monitoring tools, and incident response strategies to keep systems running smoothly
- Support continuous software delivery with minimal downtime
- Build infrastructure using code, optimize cloud services, monitor system performance, and support platform engineering projects
- Automate tasks, improve system reliability and scalability, and solve technical problems before they affect users
- Manage cloud and on-prem systems that support LPL's technology platforms
- Take an engineering-first approach to operations, automating workflows, improving performance, and ensuring systems are secure and resilient
Other
- Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, or related field required
- Classroom experience directly related to your preferred role
- Experiences such as an internship, hackathon, research project or related experience
- Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving and task completion, taking ownership of assignments
- Proficient organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
