The New York Times is looking to evolve its Times Product Language, a cross-product design system, by hiring an iOS Engineer to contribute to foundational technology that supports its entire app ecosystem.
Requirements
- 2+ years iOS experience
- Experience using Swift, SwiftUI, and functional reactive programming patterns.
- Experience with API design and delivering shared code across multiple products or surfaces
- Experience writing unit, integration, and UI tests.
- Exposure to hybrid development
- Platform/Backend experience
Responsibilities
- You'll work with the App Architecture and Frameworks group, contributing to foundational tech that supports our entire app ecosystem.
- You'll build shared UI components and libraries that allow modern, cohesive experiences across all NYT mobile apps.

- This is a hybrid role based in our New York City headquarters, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, App Platforms. You can typically expect to come into the office two days per week.
