JLG, an Oshkosh company, is looking to resolve growing safety concerns in the construction industry by developing and improving machine connectivity and control through advanced IoT technologies. The IoT cloud engineering team manages how backend cloud services ingest, manipulate, aggregate and egress data to deliver smarter, more connected products to the market.
Requirements
- Proficiency with cloud native development languages sand techniques
- Experience w/ one or more major cloud platforms (e.g. Azure/AWS/Vercel)
- Experience w/ SQL (e.g., Azure SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Experience w/ CI/CD tools and test automation.
- Experience w/ DevOps tools and principles
- Experience w/ Agile development methodology and tools (e.g. Jira)
- Experience w/ C, Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar programming language(s).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new Internet of Things (IoT) products and practices, and identify software system designs and solutions
- Plan, develop, and implement improvements and changes to existing architecture and applications
- Coordinate system development and execution in a team environment
- Manage a team of cloud engineers, providing oversight and technical direction for their day to day operations
- Define and implement software development processes and procedures
- Research, study, and propose use of new software/technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products and features
- Prepare technical solution design proposals and presentations

- This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days onsite at the Hagerstown, MD Site.
