GlobalFoundries is looking to solve the problem of providing semiconductor solutions for industrial, robotics, and power systems, and is seeking a segment owner to drive growth and revenue targets in this area.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of industrial and robotics compute architectures, including motor control, sensor fusion, hardware accelerators and embedded security
  • Familiarity with GF technologies and design enablement flows
  • Experience with developing semiconductor product roadmaps, defining new products and taking concepts through IC design to tape out and ramp
  • Experience in hardware/software co-design for Physical AI and autonomous systems
  • Experience in digital and analog mixed signal design with GF technologies or competitive set
  • Understanding of robotic autonomy levels (L0–L4), edge AI deployment tools, and software-controlled systems.

Responsibilities

  • Understand market dynamics and architectural trends across industrial automation, robotics, humanoids, and power systems.
  • Define market requirements for new technology features and design IPs, including MRDs for motor control, power distribution/conversion, and autonomous system components.
  • Evaluate compute and memory architecture tradeoffs for low-power, connected, and AI-enabled industrial and autonomous systems.
  • Identify GF technology platforms and differentiating features (e.g., body-biasing, fast memory access, specialty memory) that best serve customer needs.
  • Drive design win funnel growth and tape-out revenue targets through strategic account planning for respective segment
  • Provide domain leadership in industrial system architectures such as factory automation and humanoid robots including microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, zonal vs. distributed system designs.
  • Influence platform development for embedded security, specialty embedded memory, and compute hardware accelerators (NPU/GPU).

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years in semiconductor fabless or IDM companies, or industry OEMs
  • Strong business acumen and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
