The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking to modernize and automate critical business processes within its N-FOCUS applications to improve performance, efficiency, and service delivery for Nebraskans.
Requirements
- 3+ years designing, developing, and deploying complex workflows using UiPath Studio, REFramework, and custom libraries.
- Hands-on experience with UiPath Orchestrator: queue management, credential assets, logging, and exception handling.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or VBScript.
- Familiarity with attended vs unattended bot architecture and lifecycle management.
- Programming & Scripting Proficiency
- Experience with regex, JSON/XML parsing, and data transformation for structured and unstructured inputs.
- Experience with SQL Server, DB2, and Excel/CSV data sources for read/write operations and validation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy solutions to support DHHS N-FOCUS applications.
- Maintain the performance, scalability, and security of all DHHS applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues under tight timeframes, occasionally support after-hours production incidents.
- Conduct testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine business requirements into technical solutions.
- Document technical solutions, application architecture, and development processes.
- Lead small-to-medium projects or components of larger projects, providing clear project plans, timelines, and status reports.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and peers.
- Must have strong technical, organization and planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively across multiple platforms and handle issues in a professional manner.
- Responsible for working with business analysts to analyze and design enhancements and modifications for DHHS solutions.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience, education, or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
