The company seeks to integrate health data into its existing platform through EMR FHIR healthcare interfaces, requiring a role to build, maintain, and utilize these interfaces.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with both current and emerging interoperability standards, such as Health Level Seven International (HL7) V2.x, V3, Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), CCD, JSON and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), required.
  • Experience with SOAP and/or RESTful API connection project required
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Eventbridge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Building, maintaining, and utilizing EMR FHIR healthcare interfaces to receive and process health data into the existing platform.
  • Work with different business units, vendors, and business partners to determine product requirements.
  • Perform implementation, QA testing, and deployment of technical solutions.
  • Interface with vendors and hospital staff to understand both infrastructure and user experience requirements.
  • Develop requirements for and designs significant new features for the business application.
  • Build, test, deploy, and support software in a clinical environment.
  • Assist with unit testing and integration testing of the business application.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health data science or informatics, computer science, computer information systems, or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years' experience working with the applications required.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audience.
  • Basic knowledge of the FDA regulatory approval process and its relationship to the development process.
