Selective Insurance Company of America is looking for college students to intern in their Information Technology department, specifically on the Application Delivery team, to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the company's operations.
Requirements
- Must be a current college student majoring in Computer Science or a related field to qualify (rising juniors and seniors, preferred).
- Be someone who takes ownership over work, has the ability to self-motivate and executes on delegated tasks.
- Demonstrates an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
- Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support application solutions, providing production support and managing application operations;
- Monitor and manage IT infrastructure, including tools, databases, and end-user computing services;
- Or actively manage and monitor cybersecurity tools and systems, identifying and escalating security risks.
- Ensure adherence to IT standards and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly to support business processes and resolve issues.
- Work cross-functionally with peers and leaders to complete an Action Learning Project.

- This is an 11-week, full-time experience.
- Applicants must be within commuting distance of our Charlotte, NC location.
- College credit can be earned depending on your institution’s requirements.
- High School Diploma required.
