Selective Insurance Company of America is looking for college students to join their Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience in building innovative software solutions that power the future of insurance, exploring cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI, cloud-native development, and modern software engineering practices.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (rising juniors or seniors preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in programming languages and a willingness to learn new languages and technologies
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and test custom software applications that support our Commercial Lines business.
- Contribute to real-world projects using modern tech stacks, cloud platforms, and agile methodologies.
- Explore and experiment with Generative AI tools and APIs to enhance business processes and customer experiences.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team stand-ups to learn how software is built in a professional environment.
- Work cross-functionally with peers and leaders on an Action Learning Project that addresses a real business challenge.
- Learn about the insurance industry and how technology drives innovation in an Enterprise environment.
- See your work delivered to our users and how it makes a positive impact on our business.
