Siemens Corp. is looking for a driven IT Data Insights and Project Management Intern to assist with its regional IT Data Insights and Project Management tasks. This internship offers a chance to thrive in a vibrant, global setting where IT, data, and business strategy converge. This role involves contributing to Siemens’ Digital Backbone initiative, enhancing IT infrastructure for application hosting, management, and support.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Knime, Python, R).
  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with database systems and SQL would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (such as Jira, MS Project, Trello) is advantageous.
  • Proficient knowledge of IT technologies and emerging trends, capable of analyzing project data to facilitate decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project and operational data, presenting results in a meaningful way using appropriate tools.
  • Assist in preparing executive-style reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Facilitate the adoption of project management and reporting tools for improved transparency and operational efficiency.
  • Research and share new IT and data-related trends.
  • Offer fresh perspectives and pinpoint trends to improve project management and reporting, prioritizing collaboration, time management, and influence.
  • Drive involvement and ensure progress on key deliverables.

Other

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance (GPA 3.0+ preferred).
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for future visa sponsorship.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to dedicate 40 hours weekly from May through August.
