NextEra Energy is looking to solve cybersecurity threats in the nuclear energy sector by hiring an IT Nuclear Cybersecurity Analyst - College Intern to join their team and help shape the future of energy.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge of computer systems and networks with cyber threat information to assess the client's security posture
- Research hackers, hacker techniques, vulnerabilities, exploits, and provides detailed briefings and intelligence reports to leadership
- Utilize the most sophisticated security technologies available in the world
- Drive fast and effective detection assessment, incident response, and remediation
- Develop comprehensive and accurate presentations for both technical and executive audiences
- Leverage proprietary systems to develop and publish vulnerability reports
- Collaborate with intrusion analysts to identify, report on, and coordinate remediation of cyber threats to the client
Responsibilities
- Oversee cutting-edge, continuous incident response in collaboration with our Incident Response team
- Work alongside of OT security team to help nuclear design and develop digital replacement systems
- Help the Nuclear Cyber Security program meets regulatory compliance standards
- Analyze and report on threats and malicious activity in client environments
- Prioritize and differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms
- Leverage our proprietary systems to develop and publish vulnerability reports
- Collaborates with intrusion analysts to identify, report on, and coordinate remediation of cyber threats to the client
Other
- Must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale)
- High school grad / GED
- Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
- Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
