Cencora's IT Operations team in Carrollton, TX, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student to join our team as an Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced IT environment. As an intern, you will assist with various aspects of IT operations, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and support of critical infrastructure and applications.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, and troubleshooting; familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Exposure to scripting, automation tools, or IT monitoring systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring IT systems, servers, and networks for performance and reliability, escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Create and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
- Support the development of automated processes to improve team efficiency using tools like PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Track and respond to incidents, ensuring timely resolution and proper communication with stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, help desk, and infrastructure teams, to support IT operations.
- Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and mentorship opportunities to enhance technical skills and understanding of IT processes.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
