Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking to improve their IT Performance Testing capabilities to create financial security for individuals and businesses by helping them make a new start when a loss occurs.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of programming and exposure to common coding languages (ex. Java, Python, C, C, C++, HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.)
- Ability to utilize a PC and working within a performance testing suite
- Competency to learn new software tools
- Organize and interpret data
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: performance testing tools
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: server monitoring tools
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: SQL and generating database queries
Responsibilities
- Read, analyze and interpret performance testing requests.
- Work with software developers, business analysts, quality analysts, project managers, architects, and HR leadership to understand front-end and back-end system functionality.
- Work with software developers, business analysts, quality analysts, project managers, architects, and HR leadership to review performance testing requests, test plans, and test results.
- Write test plans and update existing test plans.
- Design, develop and maintain the automation processes and scripts for various performance tests using tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, etc.
- Utilize and interpret test results from performance testing tools.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, SentryOne, BMC Apptune, Splunk.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, another logic-based field, or equivalent experience.
- Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in one of our tech offices, specifically in Lansing, Michigan
- Ability to work from home up to 3 days per week after initial training
- Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
