The University of Maryland's Division of Information Technology (DIT) is looking to solve the problem of designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions to meet business objectives while adhering to industry best practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in Azure cloud-based services
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure AI
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Chef).
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and Node.js.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development and source control (e.g., Git).
- Expertise in Entra ID for Identity & Access Management.
- Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure-based solutions adhering to the Cloud Well-Architected Framework (Reliability, Security, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency).
- Develop and manage data pipelines, notebooks, and data flows using Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI.
- Utilize Azure AI to integrate intelligent solutions into applications.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, or Chef.
- Configure and manage networking solutions, including ExpressRoute, to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
- Implement monitoring and observability using Azure Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, SCOM, Application Insights).
- Manage and optimize databases, including MS SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL, with expertise in CRUD operations.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years of professional experience implementing and managing enterprise solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lead presentations with small to medium-sized groups
- Ability to organize and provide direction to junior staff members
