Zurich is looking for an IT Security Intern to support their IT Services and Information Security team, aiming to enhance information security by promoting adherence to policies, coordinating metric collection, managing exceptions, assisting with risk assessments, and improving employee security awareness.
Requirements
- Familiarity with OWASP Top Ten security risks to web apps
- Data protection and information security standards related to Governance, Risk, & Compliance
- Exposure to internal systems such as OneTrust, ServiceNow, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Familiarity with risk assessment frameworks, such as NIST CSF, ISO 27k family, COBIT, etc.
- Course work/interest in: Security Awareness
- Course work/interest in: Incident Response
- Course work/interest in: Security policy and procedure development
Responsibilities
- Monitor and help maintain Information Security by promoting and adhering to security policies
- Coordinate the collection of metrics and prepare various reports for timely distribution (e.g., third-party risk mitigation, phishing)
- Assist with managing and reporting exceptions within the environment (e.g., antivirus, proxy / open client policies)
- Assist with risk assessment of solutions and 3rd parties (i.e., external partners, law firms, etc.)
- Post security awareness content for employee education
Other
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2026
- Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior) and no prior years of experience required in the Administrative area
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely
- Problem solving skills in customer-focused environment
