Eversource is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance its Azure-based cloud solutions, CI/CD pipelines, web development, and data engineering capabilities. The role aims to prototype, design, and implement new systems and features, while also maintaining existing ones to adapt to business and technology changes. This involves driving software change and release management processes to improve the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Azure PaaS design and implementation
- Demonstrated knowledge of CI/CI pipelines including security checks, harness or terraform, source code branching.
- Two or more of the following languages: C-Sharp, Python, Javascript, Typescript, React, T-SQL.
- Demonstrated API development, design and monitoring.
- Database design and implementation
- Strong sense of operational monitoring and recovery
- AI and ML experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of full-stack applications across web, API, and data layers.
- Design and implement secure, cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, App Services, Logic Apps, Cosmos DB, ADF).
- Drive the design of modular, reusable components that align with enterprise patterns and innovation proof-of-concepts.
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (or equivalent platforms), automating testing, builds, and deployments across environments.
- Integrate static code analysis, security scanning, and release validation into pipeline workflows.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to codify environments using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Harness, Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
- Support the Innovation and Emerging Technology Hub (IETH) by delivering rapid prototypes and MVPs across a range of domains (e.g., AI/ML, intelligent automation, digital worker tools).
Other
- Must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.
- Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position. Eversource will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position.
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
