Hensel Phelps is looking to solve the problem of designing, executing, assessing, and troubleshooting software programs and applications by hiring a Software Engineer. This role will involve configuring, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle, as well as overseeing system startups and providing support to other departments.

Requirements

  • Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including C-Sharp/.NET, Python, Typescript.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications, including MuleSoft/Tibco/Azure Integration/AWS Integrations.
  • Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, including MuleSoft/Tibco/Azure Integration/AWS Integrations.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with one of the following databases, MSSQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies, including Javascript/Node/React/Angular, GraphQL.REST, HTML, CSS.
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.
  • Develop an awareness of programming and design alternatives.
  • Research, document, and implement program requirements and specifications.
  • Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
  • Run and monitor performance tests on new and existing software for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Administer diagnostic analysis of test results and deliver solutions to critical areas.

Other

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Highly logical.
