Hensel Phelps is looking to solve software development and application issues by hiring a Software Engineer to design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications.
Requirements
- Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including C-Sharp/.NET, Python, Typescript.
- Experience working with enterprise applications, including MuleSoft/Tibco/Azure Integration/AWS Integrations.
- Hands-on experience working in integrated development environments, including MuleSoft/Tibco/Azure Integration/AWS Integrations.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Experience with one of the following databases: MSSQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies, including JavaScript/Node/React/Angular, GraphQL.REST, HTML, CSS.
- Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications.
- Oversee the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.
- Develop an awareness of programming and design alternatives.
- Direct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Research, document, and implement program requirements and specifications.
- Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
- Run and monitor performance tests on new and existing software for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Other
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
