Talcott is seeking an IT intern to support our Information Technology department as a Software Engineering Intern. The ideal candidate will get hands-on experience in Java and SQL technologies in order to develop software solutions. The selected individual will work with our Software Engineers to analyze data, provide project support, and/or potentially develop code for Talcott’s Annuity Administration portfolio.

- Solid technical proficiency with an eagerness to learn new technologies such as Python, SQL, React, Power BI or other coding tools
Responsibilities
- Analyze data/requirements and translate into technical specifications
- Analyze, design, and possibly develop software programs aligned to the portfolio
- Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices

- Student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Our internship opportunity shall be a weekly hybrid onsite work arrangement in our contemporary Hartford, Connecticut campus on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
