The U.S. government is seeking an IT Specialist (APPLICATION SOFTWARE) to lead all phases of software development, ensure alignment with the Risk Management Framework, and apply advanced technical expertise to meet mission requirements.
Requirements
- Led end-to-end development of secure web applications.
- Managed software integration, system upgrades, and cross-functional projects.
- Reviewed system configurations, maintained technical documentation, monitored software for upgrades and End of Life (EOL), and supported hosting migrations.
- Applied Risk Management Framework to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
- IAT LEVEL III - This is an Information Assurance Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for certification in Information Assurance Technology (IAT-III) within 6 months or less of entrance on duty.
Responsibilities
- Leads all phases of software development including initiation, requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develops and modifies software applications and ensures alignment with the Risk Management Framework.
- Assesses proposed changes to application design and communicates impacts on cost, schedule, and performance.
- Applies advanced technical expertise to meet mission requirements and supports information management systems.
- Enhances application infrastructure by integrating new data, software, and functional processes.
- Designs and builds web-based applications using current and emerging technologies.
- Works collaboratively with DoD personnel and contractors to implement projects.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
