Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data governance workflows and integrations across the Governance platforms for Occidental, an international energy company
Requirements
- Expertise in developing and optimizing data governance processes
- Proven ability to drive the adoption of systems and processes across business units
- Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and governance best practices
- Hands-on experience with SAP and other data sources
- Proficiency in Python and API development
- Proficiency in SQL, AWS (S3, Redshift, SageMaker), and enterprise data platforms
Responsibilities
- Manage Alation platform updates and integrations with new applications
- Develop and maintain custom APIs
- Oversee data set onboarding, catalog, and lineage development
- Develop and maintain custom SQL-based workflows
- Act as a liaison on Enterprise projects and implement Data governance for the associated data
- Establish data governance structures for data products
- Review and approve catalog content
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
- 5+ years of experience in implementing data governance and systems integration
- Excellent documentation, problem solving and stakeholder communication skills
