Florida Blue is seeking 2026 summer IT interns to gain hands-on experience in various IT domains, contributing to real projects and helping to advance the company's mission of improving health for people and communities.
Requirements
- A strong foundation in Natural Language Processing (NLP) with a solid grasp of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals
- Proficiency in transformer-based architectures and working knowledge of large language models (LLMs), with applied experience in leveraging open-source LLMs strongly preferred
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, with expertise in frameworks like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch and LangChain
- Knowledge of Linux commands and understanding on how to work with Linux boxes
- Basic understanding of OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS or Azure is preferred
- Completed or in progress certifications such as Security+, Network+ A+, and/or Linux+ preferred
Responsibilities
- developing, fine-tuning, and deploying models that tackle complex business problems at GuideWell
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to bring AI capabilities to life and integrate solutions that drive efficiency and innovation
- help in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to safeguard our company data, databases, and information systems
- delve into the world of infrastructure as code, networking, automation, data storage, and security, using industry-leading platforms like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
- work alongside the best in the business, tackling real-world challenges and projects that make a real difference
- designing, developing, and deploying data analytics models and algorithms to solve business problems, analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- developing new applications, exploring new technologies, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible
Other
- Currently enrolled in computer science, information technology, mathematics, psychology, or related degree program as a Junior or Senior student at an accredited college/university in May 2026
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better during the duration of the internship
- Must be able to commit to working at least 30 hours a week
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; team and collaboration-oriented
- Work under minimal supervision and adapt to a dynamic, changing environment
