The Agency of Digital Services' IT Team supporting the Department of Children & Families (DCF) needs an IT System Developer I to provide technical solutions for their applications.
Requirements
- Knowledge of software development platforms, computer programming languages, software frameworks, basic server administration, and design patterns.
- Proficiency with relational databases and T-SQL
- Knowledge of systems analysis, system design and database architecture
- Proficiency with HTML/CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with Java and/or .Net
- Familiarity with Linux and Bash Scripting
- Familiarity with integration architecture as well as third-party integration tools and Web Services API/third-party integration tools (e.g. DreamFactory, Mulesoft, Rhapsody).
Responsibilities
- Serve as a developer for Agency of Digital Service's applications that support the Department of Children & Families (DCF).
- Provide technical solutions based on the organization's direction, operations, processes, and principles.
- Analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of new or existing software applications within a State of Vermont organization.
- Programming, database administration, and systems analysis work at an entry level for a department or agency of Vermont State Government where, because of the structure of assignments, decision making and complexity are limited to carrying out established work processes and operations.
- Analysis, development, design, construction, testing, maintenance, implementation and enhancements of programs and systems.
- Prepare system designs, workflow plans, report format and input/output documents adequate to meet user needs.
- Perform software and data base design and to construct specifications for programmers and data base administrators.
