Lakeshore College needs to provide instruction for an IT Web and Software Developer program curriculum to students through a variety of delivery formats, educating them on designing, building, and managing websites and software applications.

Requirements

  • Be familiar with basic hardware; use a laptop, printer, and scanning techniques equipment.
  • Securely access college network systems using appropriate multi-factor authentication, navigate through Windows; and appropriate navigation through the internet.
  • Use voicemail, email, and calendaring programs.
  • Understand databases and SQL for data management and integration
  • Use video conferencing.
  • Use Blackboard and associated tools.
  • Understanding of front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ES6, and TypeScript preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students on designing, building, and managing websites and software applications including writing or adapting code.
  • Develop user interfaces using cutting edge technologies and implement security and data protection applications.
  • Educate students with core knowledge and current developments in the discipline.
  • Provide course improvement with updated teaching methods.
  • Developing curriculum, including learning activities and assessments.
  • Work with a curriculum coach to ensure state and LC design requirements are met.
  • Teaching/training in business and industry may be assigned.

Other

  • Provide instruction for an IT Web and Software Developer program curriculum to students through a variety of delivery formats (e.g.: online, face to face, virtual computer conference) at Lakeshore College.
  • Responsible for placing learning first and providing educational experiences for learners in various delivery formats, schedules, and in various places in accordance with the mission of the college.
  • Developing and maintaining current/relevant course materials, and communicating with the community, other schools, the college, the division, and team members.
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.
