Our client is seeking a mid-level Java backend developer to contribute to hands-on development with minimal oversight, backfilling an existing team member and supporting current development efforts in cutting-edge data initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience in developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications using Java/J2EE
- 2+ years of experience with Spring Framework
- 2+ years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using React JS with Redux
- 2+ years of JavaScript development experience
- 2+ years of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) experience
- 2+ years of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) experience
- Experience in Micro Frontend and Microservices
- Experience working with REST Services
- Experience with API development and knowledge of common design patterns
- Experience with unit testing of Java backend code
Responsibilities
- Implementing new features in every sprint, requiring high hands-on involvement
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review low to moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve low to moderately complex issues to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Other
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Be involved in low to moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
