Avum is seeking a Java Developer to support the implementation of a Contract Writing System for the Navy.
Requirements
- A minimum of five (5) of hands-on development in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Angular.
- Experience managing Java projects with Maven.
- Ability to design complex architectures.
- Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu, etc.).
- Terraform experience.
Responsibilities
- Write micro-services in Java and Spring Boot Framework and Angular to support functions for the Contract Writing system that are developed and managed in multiple environments.
- Create SQL queries and build tables and views for Oracle database for related micro-services.
- Design secure code compliant with ASD STIG requirements and other government security and compliance requirements as well as remediating vulnerabilities discovered by code scans.
- Build unit tests for micro-services.
Other
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certification.
- Strong ability to coordinate with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and debug issues in a complex, cloud-hosted environment.
- Familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology and release.
- The candidate will be required to interact and coordinate with external project team members and other Avum employees remotely, supporting core Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
