A Wealth Management Firm needs a Java Developer to design, produce, test, deploy, and operate working code across the full software lifecycle, improving performance through metric analysis, agile development, rapid deployment, backlog management, and automation.
Requirements
- Understanding of multithreading, distributed computing, message-based architectures, as well as proficiency in Spring Boot and the Spring Framework
- Hands-on knowledge of databases like MS SQL Server and Oracle
- Skilled in scripting languages including Perl, Python, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with enterprise messaging services such as Tibco EMS and IBM MQ, alongside expertise in managing Swift (MT and MX messages) and FIX protocol messages.
- Proficiency in Google Protocol Buffers (proto-2) for efficient data serialization is ideal
- Preferred certifications include: Java, Perl, Python, MS SQL, Jenkins, GCP/AWS
Responsibilities
- Designs, produces, tests, deploys, and operates working code across the full software lifecycle, from requirements and design to deployment and operations.
- Works within a permanent Feature Team, gaining expertise across business, applications, data, and infrastructure aspects of the Platform.
- Collaborates with Principal Engineers, architects, and stakeholders to understand the Platform, support business objectives, and align with domain and enterprise strategies.
- Continuously improves performance through metric analysis, agile development, rapid deployment, backlog management, and automation of build, test, and deployment processes.
- Generates and validates innovative ideas through experimentation and prototyping, integrating validated solutions into relevant architectures with engineering leadership.
