GovCIO is looking to hire a Java Developer to support the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) by providing DevOps support and enhancements to PBGC's enterprise IT systems within the EBTS portfolio.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Java development experience, with a strong background in J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle 19c Database
- Proficiency with Application Development Framework (ADF)
- Strong programming skills in Java (8+), Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data), Vert.x, JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and web services using XML and JSON
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, and test enterprise-wide web applications utilizing Java and JavaScript technologies
- Support the entire system development lifecycle using Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices
- Ensure application design aligns with enterprise standards, best practices, and business goals
- Translate business requirements into efficient and scalable technical solutions
- Design and implement Java-based applications, ensuring robustness and scalability
- Debug and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain system stability
- Assist in integrating new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in information technology or equivalent professional experience
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a PBGC public trust clearance
- Collaborate closely with product owners and team members to discuss problems and implement resolutions
